Toddler Education

The Sacred Heart Preschool Toddler curriculum places free play and inquiry at the heart of learning and centers on principles of early childhood education. Faculty and staff work together to foster the growth and education of each child in preparation for an easy transition to our preschool program at age three. Children aged one to two years are interested in the world around them and learn by observation, exploration, and experimentation. SHP nurtures the child’s natural curiosity with fun, differentiated opportunities rooted in research-tested best practices involving hands-on activities set to engage all five senses.

The Toddler Education program focuses on the development of the whole child; physical, social, emotional, and cognitive. Our inviting indoor learning environments and outdoor play spaces, in addition to our beautiful 48-acre campus, provide a safe and nurturing place for inquiry, exploration, discovery, and play!

Teachers have a Child Development Associate credential, associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree in education or related field, and continuing education is required of all faculty.
