Admissions Process

We invite you to contact the admissions manager to arrange a tour of Sacred Heart Preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9:00-11:00 am from September- May. At the time of your tour, you will receive information about SHP to include curriculum, tuition rates, school hours, calendar and meal program, as well as an application link. If you are interested in applying, please go online and complete your application to be considered for admission. At the discretion of the administration, students will be admitted to SHP and placed in classes with consideration given to age range and school day/hour preferences.

Priority for Admission

Children will be admitted to Sacred Heart Preschool according to the following categories. There are no guarantees, and we do not accept teacher or friend requests. Each student must submit an application; if parents wish to enroll more than one child, even if one child is already a student at SHP, they must fill out an application for each child.

  • Currently Enrolled Students: Child is currently enrolled in SHP.
  • Siblings of Current Students (Current Families): Child is not currently enrolled but is a sibling of a currently enrolled child.
  • SHS Staff: Child’s parent(s) is a faculty or staff member at Sacred Heart Schools.
  • SHS Alumni/Legacy: Child’s relative is an alumnus of Sacred Heart Schools or child’s older sibling attended SHP in previous years.
  • Community-At-Large: New applicants to SHP

Timeline

We begin our enrollment period during the first week of February for the school year beginning in August of the same year. We will offer contracts to those applicants in the order stated above. Deadlines for contract returns will be clearly indicated on the email we send to the contact information on file; if a deadline passes, the administration will move on to the next applicant category on the waiting list. This process may take several weeks. By the end of March, SHP will send notification that the enrollment period has ended. At that time, we will ask you to contact us by a clearly indicated deadline in order to remain on the waiting list for the current year (if a spot opens up) or for the next school year. If a class does not reach capacity after this initial enrollment period, we will continue to take applications for those remaining spots.

Summer Program

SHP offers a summer program contract to currently enrolled students for two different sessions: June and July. This is a separate registration from the school year registration. Priority follows the above protocol, as well.  Space is limited, so if contracts are not returned by the date stated on the email communication, contracts will then be offered to newly enrolling students, which would include any new siblings, then our community waitlist.
