Sacred Heart School for the Arts announced recently that Andrea Diggs would be relocating to Texas with her family and stepping down as Director this fall. Mrs. Diggs has been at the helm of the arts school for three years bringing about numerous advancements including sensory-friendly productions, the return of summer community theatre, and the addition of Bollywood, hip-hop, and jazz to the storied Nutcracker Ballet.
As we begin the search for SHSA’s next visionary leader, the previous director of the Ursuline Performing Arts School and SHSA, Dr. Anna Jo Paul, will return as interim director for the 2021-22 season. Dr. Paul led the school for more than 17 years and brings this wealth of knowledge, experience, and familiarity to the interim position. Dr. Karen McNay, president of Sacred Heart Schools says, "I am very pleased and grateful to Dr. Paul for returning to lead SHSA and know her experience and long-standing relationship with Sacred Heart Schools will ensure a smooth and prosperous year."
As Dr. McNay met with Dr. Paul this morning she said, “I am thrilled to be back working with my Ursuline family! I wish Mrs. Diggs great success in her move and am looking forward to a productive year.”
