Student-athletes Attend the 19th Annual KHSAA HYPE Student Leadership Conference

The conference is a free service provided by the KHSAA for student-athletes to learn teamwork exercises and sportsmanship initiatives and discuss current issues. Topics for the conference’s breakout sessions include seminars on Brain Mapping and Goal Setting from Omari Pearson of Passion to Purpose; Team Building from Kara Mattingly and Trent Ellsworth of Asbury University; and Relationship Building and Maintenance led by Deb Hult of Core Trainings. The student attendees will also hear a presentation from keynote speaker, Harvey Alston, author of book “Be the Best.” According to his website, Alston believes in solitary achievement, shared accomplishment and the dignity of human beings.
