Thirty-two recent graduates of Sacred Heart Academy celebrate their success as results for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme are published across the world. SHA IB Diploma students are heading to 26 different schools including Cornell University, Vanderbilt University, St. Louis University, Duke University, the University of California – Los Angeles, as well as all the major state schools.
The following students earned the prestigious IB Diploma by completing a rigorous two-year curriculum of IB courses, satisfactorily passing 25 hours of international examinations, completing a minimum of 150 hours of Creativity, Action and Service (CAS), and writing a 4000-word extended essay on a topic of their choice under the guidance of a faculty member. Sacred Heart Academy’s 100% pass rate for the IB Diploma is well above the global pass rate of 78%.
Sacred Heart Academy has been offering the International Baccalaureate’s IB Diploma Programme since 1999, with a lifetime pass rate of 96.9%. The programme is designed to give students a broad, well-rounded international education and the skills needed for success at university and beyond. These students join the 64,740 students earning the IB Diploma this year in more than 143 countries around the world.

This year, according to the International Baccalaureate website, “over 169,000 students across the world celebrated receiving their International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) results. These students will join a community of over 1.85 million graduates, in 153 countries, who have all demonstrated the knowledge, skills and determination to address our greatest challenges.”
